What happens after you buy mortgage leads: onboarding, step by step
After you buy mortgage leads from us, you fill in a short onboarding form and have one onboarding call of 20 to 40 minutes. Your campaigns launch, most often on a Monday, and the first leads usually arrive 24 to 48 hours after launch. Below is every step from payment to the first lead, what we need from you, and what the agreement says happens after that.
The steps below are summarised from the Lead Generation Service Agreement every client signs, and we send that agreement before you pay. Nothing below is extra paperwork: one form, one call, then leads.
The onboarding steps, from payment to the first lead
From payment to a full order is six steps, each one set out in the agreement: payment, a short form, one onboarding call, the launch, the first lead, and a 30-day delivery window.
- You pay for the order. Every order is prepaid before it starts, and you pay per lead in the order.
- You fill in a short onboarding form. It comes right after payment, before the call.
- The onboarding call, 20 to 40 minutes. Bring whoever owns your CRM. We connect it and set up the routing, so each lead goes to the right person on your team. Getting to the setup call takes one to five days, depending on your CRM and how fast your side can move.
- Your campaigns launch. Most often on a Monday, so your team gets a full week in front of it.
- The first lead, usually 24 to 48 hours after launch. The ad auction sets the exact timing. Each lead is pushed into your CRM the moment the borrower submits.
- Delivery runs 30 days from launch. An automatic extension of up to 30 more days follows if the order is not complete by then.
Anything still undelivered after the extension is refunded automatically, no request needed.
What we need from you before the onboarding call
Before the onboarding call we need four things from you: the states you want leads in, the lead types you are ordering, the CRM the leads go into, and who on your team receives each lead.
- States. The states your team is licensed in, and ZIP codes too if you want to narrow the order. Leads from the lead form inside our Facebook ads carry no ZIP, so a ZIP-limited order receives landing-page leads only and fills more slowly.
- Lead types. Purchase, cash-out refinance or HELOC. A first order can be split across lead types, one order per type, and the split is set on the call.
- CRM. Your own CRM costs $0 to connect, by native integration, webhook or API. If you do not have one, we offer ours as an add-on, set up with the automations and follow-up campaigns already in it.
- Routing. Who on your team receives each lead, set up in your CRM on the onboarding call.
After the first lead: invalid leads, re-orders and stopping
Once the first lead has arrived, three terms from the agreement decide what happens next: what counts as an invalid lead, how re-orders work and how you stop one, and how fast to call. None of them needs a new signature.
- Invalid leads. An exact duplicate in the same order, a missing or non-existent phone number, or a lead outside your licensed states is replaced at no charge when you report it within five business days. No other reason qualifies.
- Re-orders, no lock-in. Each order renews as a re-order under the agreement you signed, so there is nothing to sign again. You can stop any re-order at any time before it is charged, and we email you at least 5 days before every re-order charge.
- Calling speed. Twenty minutes is what our agreement recommends. Sooner is better, and our advice is to call inside five.
What each lead type costs per lead, and the cost per funded loan it works out to, is on our pricing page. The other questions buyers ask before and after the first order, from where the leads come from to how fast your team should call, are answered on the mortgage lead FAQ.
Questions this page answers
Usually 24 to 48 hours after your campaigns launch. Campaigns launch once your onboarding form and your onboarding call are done, most often on a Monday so your team gets a full week in front of it, and the ad auction sets the exact hour of the first lead, which is why it is a usual range and not a fixed time.
No lock-in. You sign one Lead Generation Service Agreement, and it covers every order after that. Every order is prepaid before it starts, there is no retainer, and each order renews as a re-order, so you never sign twice and you can stop any re-order at any time before it is charged.
Yes. You can stop any re-order at any time before it is charged, and we email you at least 5 days before every re-order charge. If your team cannot call for a real stretch, tell us and we pause the order rather than let leads sit unworked.
Four things: the states you want leads in, plus ZIP codes if you want to narrow it; the lead types you want, with one order per type; the CRM the leads go into, yours or ours; and the routing, meaning who on your team receives each lead.
An order is delivered within 30 days of launch, with an automatic extension of up to 30 more. Anything still undelivered after that is refunded automatically, no request needed.
Buying questions rather than research ones are answered on the FAQ, and anything that is not there gets asked on a call.
